The Open Gorge Summer Survival Guide:
Free & Low-Cost Kids Activities
Summer in the gorge is incredible, but…
…keeping kids entertained, fed, and cool until September (without draining your bank account) shouldn’t require hours of web searches.
Usually, finding out what's happening means hunting through a dozen different county websites, library calendars, and Facebook pages. At Open Gorge, we believe open data shouldn't just be for serious civic audits. It should be fun, accessible, and in service to everyday information our community actually needs.
So, we’ve done the digging for you. Below is a living, growing directory of free and under-$10 activities across Skamania, Klickitat, Hood River, and Wasco counties.
Help Us Keep This Growing!
This directory is a community effort, which means it works best when we all pitch in.
Are we missing a free movie night, a drop-in craft hour, or a community concert? If you know of a free or low-cost (under $10) summer activity happening in the Gorge that isn't on the board yet, we want to add it!
Looking for more places to keep up? We recommend subscribing to Uplift Local to catch more summer activities on their email list.
